Welcome to the neighborhood!  If you live on a street with Area 30 parking signs you will need an Area 30 permit to park. If you’re looking for information on how to get a permit, you've come to the right place. Area 30 Parking will provide you with the necessary information and guidance for getting your permits and visitor pass. Area 30 Parking is your website for residential parking permit information - additional information may also  be found at The Parking Authority .

Your community association is the South Baltimore Neighborhood Association (SBNA), www.mysobo.org. SBNA meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7 PM.        For more information, email SBNA via president@mysobo.org or check Facebook page:

MARYLAND 'MOVE OVER LAW' 10/1/2010
"A new law requires drivers approaching from the rear an emergency vehicle using visual signals while stopped on a highway to, if possible, ‘make a lane change into an available lane not immediately adjacent to the emergency vehicle.’ This movement should only be done if another lane in the same direction is available and the move can be made safely and without impeding other traffic. If moving to another lane away from the stopped emergency vehicle is not possible, the law requires drivers to ‘slow to a reasonable and prudent speed that is safe for existing weather, road, and vehicular or pedestrian traffic conditions.’

"Photo of a Street Sweeping Sign that DPW will allow [residents] to put out the day before and day of a block's scheduled Street Sweeping. This is a temporary sign to be put out and taken in after each Wednesday's sweep. It's designed to work either side of the street. This is a coated paper sign, weather resistant, but not weather proof. It can be taped to a tree, lamp post or affixed to a stake or backing material and planted along the grass strip in your block. This sign costs $ 1.00 each ( plus tax ) and can be gotten from Work Printing and Graphics, 762 Washington Blvd. 21230
